Thierry Lefort at the Château de Malleret - presentation

Thierry Lefort exhibition - Château de Malleret
from May 16 to June 15, 2024

THE Malleret Castle is a historic domain of Médoc. An exceptional family property, the management of Château de Malleret has been ensured, since 1860, by the descendants of the founders of the place, notably today, Aymar du Vivier . This art and culture enthusiast has traveled the planet and it is with knowledge and rigor that he now includes art within the prestigious property.
A unique estate, always at the forefront of innovation, Château de Malleret produces distinguished and contemporary wines. All stages of the winemaking process have recently been redesigned by Paul Bordes, production director who put all his expertise and experience at the service of Château de Malleret.
The estate is hosting for the first time a contemporary art exhibition entrusted to Yoyo Maeght which internationally supports new artists. Working in the cultural and artistic field, Yoyo Maeght with an extraordinary career, between private and public, expresses his passion for modern and contemporary art. His expertise and his desire to promote culture lead him to organize exhibitions for museums and art centers, both in France and abroad. A conference on the Maeght adventure will close the Lefort exhibition.
It's up to the artist Thierry Lefort that it is time to invest the walls of the estate's new cellars. Sharing his life between his workshop in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine and that of Studo City in Los Angeles, Thierry Lefort specially designed some of the works, oils on canvas, for this exhibition. Here he offers an artistic vision of California, on the borders of figuration and abstraction. Thierry Lefor can be considered one of the leaders of the painting revival. His works are immediately identifiable as the light, the organization of the shadows, the intelligence of the relationship of the colors between them, are singular. It is a chance to see more than 40 paintings and sculptures brought together, making this exhibition one of the largest presented in France.
