Aki Kuroda - Asia Now 2024

It is with great joy that I invite you to join us at Asia Now , the first contemporary art fair dedicated to the Asian art scenes, which will be held at the Monnaie de Paris from October 17 to 20, 2024, for its 10th edition . On this occasion, we will have the privilege of celebrating the 80th birthday of Aki Kuroda . 

For over 40 years, I have been working alongside Aki Kuroda, a contemporary Japanese artist living between France and Japan, known for his paintings, sculptures and installations that mix Western influences and Japanese culture. His work explores themes such as space, the city and the universe, with bright colors and geometric shapes. His works are exhibited internationally, and he is recognized for his interdisciplinary collaborations.

On the program:

• An unprecedented retrospective of Kuroda's iconic works, from his earliest creations to his most recent explorations.
• Meetings and discussions with artists, critics and art lovers around the work of Aki Kuroda, his inspirations and his influence on the contemporary art scene.
