Aki Kuroda - Château de Malleret - Bordeaux 2025

Château de Malleret is a historic estate in the Médoc region. An exceptional family property, the management of Château de Malleret has been handled since 1860 by the descendants of the founders of the estate, today Aymar du Vivier. This art and culture enthusiast has traveled the globe and it is with knowledge and high standards that he now incorporates art into the prestigious property.
A unique estate, always at the forefront of innovation, Château de Malleret produces distinctive and contemporary wines. All stages of the winemaking process have recently been rethought by Paul Bordes, production director who has put all his expertise and experience at the service of Château de Malleret.
The estate is hosting a contemporary art exhibition for the second time, entrusted to Yoyo Maeght, who internationally supports new artists. Working in the cultural and artistic field, Yoyo Maeght, with an extraordinary career between private and public sectors, expresses her passion for modern and contemporary art. Her expertise and desire to promote culture lead her to organize exhibitions for museums and art centers, both in France and abroad. It is up to the artist Aki Kuroda to invest the walls of the estate's new cellars. He embodies a constantly moving avant-garde, is an unclassifiable artist whose work unfolds in a multitude of forms and mediums. Painting, sculpture, decor, installations, performances, or choreographies: he blurs the lines between disciplines, fusing classical influences and contemporary experiments. He constructs a universe where each element dialogues with the next, where the line becomes rhythm, movement, breath. His visual language, at the crossroads of modern art and contemporary questioning, draws as much from art history as from science, literature, or mythology. Marked by vibrant energy and freedom of gesture, his art defies any fixity, evoking a world in perpetual transformation.
