Yoyo Maeght - Lecture Marseille
Lecture — Modern and Contemporary Art in Religious Architecture
Yoyo Maeght is pleased to announce an exceptional lecture dedicated to the place of modern and contemporary art in religious architecture, to be held on June 27th in Marseille.
This event will explore the dialogue between artistic creation, spirituality, and sacred space, from the major collaborations of the 20th century to the most recent contemporary interventions. Painting, sculpture, stained glass, light, and architecture will be discussed as forms contributing to a reinvention of religious spaces.
This lecture will highlight the significant role played by modern and contemporary artists in transforming places of worship, questioning how art can still support spiritual and collective experience today.
Organized by Yoyo Maeght, this event is part of an initiative to transmit knowledge and reflect on the connections between art, heritage, and contemporary creation.
